Software to Support CalAIM Social Services

CalAIM is the $6B MediCal reform initiative that will provide a significant source of new funding for a wide variety of social services in California over the next 5 years.

New funding will be available for services including:

  • Assisted living facilities

  • Day centers for people experiencing homelessness

  • Enhanced Care Management

  • Housing navigation

  • Housing deposits

  • Short term post-hospitalization housing

  • Sobering centers

  • Recuperative care / medical respite, and more…

As community-based organizations in California prepare to expand services in exchange for reimbursement from MediCal, an opportunity is also available to improve their data collection and analysis capacity.

CalAIM funding is a much-needed infusion of financial resources that will allow social service providers to adopt industry-leading technology and use it to strengthen their organizations overall. This includes software upgrades that enable 24/7 access to client data, automated smart forms that reduce data entry work, online client portals, secure real-time collaboration amongst multiple teams, and always up-to-date presentation-ready reports.

Technology upgrades can save significant amounts of staff time, work, and frustration. CalAIM can help pay for it. Organizations are moving quickly across the state as this money becomes available, and of course there will be competition.

The VerticalChange team is ready and willing to offer expert advice and guide social service providers through the next steps to upgrade your technology.
